The Tri-Kreen are an incredibly tall, insect-like race of people.  Similar in many ways to an eleven-foot tall praying mantis, their mandibles are extremely strong and flexible, but lack the opposable digits that give most other races a distinct advantage; however, the Tri-Kreen are naturally very intelligent, nevertheless ritualistic, and as such have taken to the habit of using slaves from other races to do the work that their hands cannot.  The insectiods have extremely well developed senses, including extraordinary smell and natural infravision.
