a flame slug

A smoldering slug slinks across the floor, leaving a fading trail of fire.

Small, like the average slug, but apparently, anything but normal, this odd creature moves about incinerating anything in its path.  Glowing red hot, like an iron in a fire, it leaves a small trail of flaming slime wherever it goes.
