a mucus wasp

A stingered insect rests on the sticky sacs.

A pair of semi-translucent wings attach at the thorax of this creature. The abdomen, striped with red and black, ends in a large, hooked stinger.  A pair of large, multi-eyed spheres rest on the head, accompanied by a pair of antennae.  A set of pinchers extend from a mouth filled with a rolled-up tongue.  Six barbed legs, the two in back longer than the front four, are attached appropriately along the sides of the insect.  A thin film of mucus coats its body, preventing it from flying.
