A giant cockroach nestles in the darkness, apparently caring for her brood.

This roach is easily larger than a dwarf child.  Not only is she naturally strong, but also her instincts to protect her brood make her a dangerous creature to aggravate.  Her shell is extra thick, and even forms around much of her underside, so as to protect her womb.
