a family of ducks

A family of ducks nest here, watching the glimmering waters.

Once brilliantly green-tinted feathered coated this mother duck, but since her habitat is now one of muddied waters, she looks quite dull.  She positions her beak underneath her left wing, nudging a nestling duckling.  Four ducklings surround her, each only having the beginnings of fuzzy brown feathers; by fall, each will darken.  They nestle against their mother, their bellies all craving some more sustenance.  Soon, when old enough, they will head towards the city of Silverport, seeking its large lake to swim and play in.
