a black-necked screamer

A strange bird, similar to a turkey, wanders through the marsh.

Strangely enough, this bird has a distinct ring of black down running around the base of its neck.  The feathers are a grayish-brown and its wings do not appear to be extremely useful for flying long distances.  Instead, the bird seems to spend most of the day with wings tucked away, wandering around on tall, orange legs.  The screamer's beak is rather small; however it is extremely sharp and looks dangerous, if one considers the range that the bird's long flexible neck provides.
