a Caledonian alligator

A long reptilian creature slithers through the muck.

With its long, rounded mouth filled with rows of sharp teeth, the alligator can be a terrifying creature.  One of the larger of the common reptiles, they are extremely strong and well adapted to land as well as water.  Although not normally aggressive, these creatures can often be extremely territorial.

Found in Melkain Marsh: The Quagmire's Edge, In the Morass, The Edge of the Bog, A Desolate Marsh
