An oddly shaped dome sinks deep into the mire.

At a distance the dome looks to be merely a rock, though at a very close examination it is obvious that there is a thick leathery skin covering the almost perfect dome.  Whatever the creature is, it seems the majority of the beast is hidden beneath the muck.
