A large rat with human hands is sniffing the air.

The large rat has dull grey fur and eyes with skin the color of human flesh.  The rat has human shaped hands and feet and a smile that gives lie to its rattish nature.  Something intelligent lurks behind the eyes of the rat and the way it stands on its hindlegs when it sniffs around seems to say that it is more man than rat.
