A snapping turtle is crawling along.

The carapace of the snapping turtle is over one foot in length and is a dark brown in color.  The turtle weighs about 50 pounds and has a strong, beaked mouth that can tear into flesh easily.  The snapping turtle is a voracious eater who prefers ducks and fish but will settle for larger fare that strays into her territory.
