A large reptile is floating in the water.

A caiman is a large member of the crocodile family that is about ten feet long from snout to tail.  The caiman has 78 teeth in it's long jaw, a bony ridge around each of its eyes and a triangular ridge above the eyelids.  The reptile has a dull, olive green scaly skin with a lighter shade on the belly.
