An army ant worker trudges single-mindedly down its scent trail.

The army ant is orangish red with a black skull cap.  Though its jaws are not small, they are not exaggerated as they are in the soldiers.  This is a swarming species, and if word gets out that a big piece of meat is nearby, the ground can soon become a river of wiggling legs and antennae.
