A whip scorpion waits maliciously under a rotting log.

A few inches long and steel grey, the whip scorpion has an evil look about him.  Like true scorpions, he has large pincers in the front.  However, whip scorpions lack a sting, instead having a long thin tail that they can trail along the forest floor as a lure for smaller prey.
