A katydid, the size of a puppy, chomps on some leaves.

The camouflaged katydid looks like a bright green leaf with legs.  Like a grasshopper, it has powerful levers for back legs.  This one would have no problem leaping over your head.  Its huge, almond-shaped head tapers to a horrific face filled with busy, chewing mouth-parts.
