A black bear, standing on two legs, sniffs the air at your approach and nods a hello.

This hulking humanoid is covered in shaggy black fur and has long claws and a bearlike face.  Werebears are one of the few lycanthropes that have control over their disease and have the constitution to avoid being driven mad.  In fact, they tend to be quite pleasant if not crossed.
