A hippogriff stands proudly here, clacking its beak at you.

Most prized of all the mounts in Talam is the hippogriff.  The front half is of a great eagle with majestic wings of russet and white.  The back half is of a stallion.  The hippogriff can run swiftly across the ground on its two hooves and two claws.  But when it takes to the air, its rider is in for a truly exhilarating experience.  For a trainer the biggest challenge is gaining the hippogriff's trust.  Slight miscalculations in a trainer's body language, a twitch here, a poorly timed bow there, can be interpreted as a great insult by this proud beast.
