a water elemental

A transparent octopus is floating around.

Extremely hard to see in the surrounding waters, the elemental appears as a gigantic octopus composed of slightly gleaming water.  The creature shimmers and flows into and out of its temporary form, sometimes disappearing entirely into the nearly frozen water and sometimes seeming almost solid.  The elemental does not have any problem attacking others no matter what form its takes.
