an elven shade

The shadowy outline of an elven form coalesces in the center of the chamber.

The shadows of the darkened cell merge sinuously with the undefined and elusive form which attests to its reality by reaving the silence of the chamber with its deep, powerful voice.  The room suddenly darkens as the essence of a shadowy being infuses a light beam and coalesces in the center of the chamber.  Its voice, speaking from everywhere, hints at the magery and anatomy of this being.  Mortal lungs, mouth, lips, tongue, all may be hard to locate, but for now, as the shadows drift around the chamber as if spurned by a flickering torch, locating the creature may be just as hard to accomplish.
