a cavern hag

A tall gaunt hag pokes the coals of the fire with her staff.

Stooped over a large iron cauldron, an extremely tall creature, possibly taller than ten feet, stirs the contents of the pot.  Gaunt and palsied, bent and twisted, permanently stooped from arthritis or scleroses, her leathery skin is practically hairless, except for the whisker like hairs on her warts, moles, and nostrils.  Turning her head, it quickly becomes apparent that her eyelids have grown together.  Although blind, she is alerted of a presence in the room and grins evilly.  Her yellowed pointy teeth poke viciously from below her beaklike nose.  She inhales with a light wheeze and exhales with a hiss.  A rat on the far side of the room hearing her calls comes scurrying to her feet.  It scratches at her torn skirt which appears to be made of tanned hides though it is uncertain whether the skin is from beast or some more intelligent relative.
