A horrifying, wolf-like monster with bluish white fur darts through the shadows.

The barghest is a lupine fiend with blue-tinged fur, long sharp claws, and a horrifying visage that seems caught somewhere between wolf, goblin, and demon.  Its clawed front limbs are hand-like and capable of grasping, while its back limbs end in wolf-like paws.  The barghest seems to keep to the shadows, slinking in circles around you, as if trying to catch you from behind.
