a carnivorous pack ape

A huge, brawny ape stands here, wearing a backpack.

The black ape is decidedly brawny, with hands the size of dinner plates. It has a collar around its neck, attached to a long leash that drags along the ground.  It charges toward you to see if you will flinch, then stops short. It looks a bit excitable.  A large canvas pack is on its back.  Based on the caked dirt, it looks like the pack has been dragged around a lot, though it seems to be holding together.
