From his absent gaze and drooling, vacant smile, you fear the innkeeper has gone quite mad.  He beams as you approach and slaps you on the back, bellowing, 'Well, well-met fine traveller!  Welcome to the Bard's Garter, finest inn in all the land.  We've got us entertainment tonight, you'll be wanting to stay on to hear our bard, no doubt!  " He turns, distracted by a rat in the rubble, and seems to forget you are there.
