Bal'Keet is a half-elf, his mother being a black slave to his father's people.  Bal'Keet was a bastard son and for those reasons was never accepted in the elven community.  Somehow, he became a hair dresser, and an amazing one at that.  Ask for any hair style and he'll do it.  Bal'Keet is very talkative and keeps his customers happy by telling stories from his past, whether they are true or not -- who cares?
