A camel calmly regards you, then resumes chewing its lunch.

This large desert animal is one of the preferred livestock any nomad would own.  He is a symbol of wealth for his owner, as well as a means of life.  He has been hobbled to prevent him from wandering away from camp and becoming another of the desert's treasures it keeps buried.  It is odd how such a smelly thing as this could be such a symbol of power.
