A large fungus with four tentacle-like arms sits here.

The violet fungus is a close relative of the shrieker, however, unlike the shrieker, the violet fungus grows appendages that can be used as clubs in combat.  The violet fungus has a symbiotic relationship with shriekers--prey killed by the violet fungus decomposes to feed both the violet fungus and the shrieker.
