A dirty, ragged looking dwarf is hard at work here, mining gems and minerals.

This dwarf is so covered in soot and dirt from working in the mines that his beard looks greyish-black.  His face is etched with lines from his advanced age, but there is still the youthful gleam in his eyes.  Dwarves are renowned for their love of the earth and this fellow reinforces that image. Despite all of this, he still looks quite capable with a weapon.
