a wandering minstrel

A bard strolls about, strumming his lute, waiting for those who wish to learn.

His robe is a colorful array of patches, sewn one over another in quite a few places.  His lanky brown hair looks dull and lifeless, in total contrast to the sparkle of mischief in the lad's eyes.  His voice is deep and rumbly, but his fingers glide over his instrument with sure ease plucking out melodies that sound almost familiar.
