A stray dog barks and nips at your heels fiercely.

If it weren't for the fact that this small dog was nothing but a skin covered skeleton, he might actually manage to pull off his fierce act and manage to scare more people.  His brown coat lacks the luster that accompanies a healthy mutt, his eyes lack the sparkle of life.  A soft growl rumbles from the dog, the chances of it being his hungry belly more than his temper are strong.
