A tall thin man is sitting here reading a tattered parchment note.

A thin pale man is sitting here, scowling as he absorbs the information in the scroll in his hand.  His other hand is holding onto his thin robe together quite tightly as if he is all of a sudden very cold, even sitting before the raging fire in the fireplace before him.  His long legs are curled up under the bench he sits on, tangled up in the blankets below him.  He has been sitting on the bench long enough that the mug and bowl beside him are no longer steaming hot.
