A lone dog sniffs the edge of the great cobblestone road.

The single dog seems to be a farm dog, a herder from looks.  Black and white, with a fuzzy ruff at the neck, the dog's keen black eyes take in your passing, as well as that of the small creatures you were never aware you flushed from hiding.  A woven leather collar adorns the spunky canine, marked in a patter of engraving and rosettes denoting ownership.
