a Hieracosphinx

A Hieracosphinx patrols the tunnels, looking for trespassers.

This creature appears to be a lion with a hawk's head and a pair of wings.  That beak is long and serrated; you're sure it's not intended for eating insects or plants.  Better watch yourself around this thing.
