Anubis

Anubis, Guardian of the Underworld, blocks your way forward.

When it's your time to go, he'll let you through the gates to the Underworld -- IF Osiris approves it.  No one else passes, immortal or otherwise, and he has the power to back his position.  Anubis has no qualms about destroying those who won't wait their turn, and such a black mark would surely cause Osiris to ban them.  Although he has a dog head, his eyes look much more intelligent than that, and you can't help but wonder at what he's thinking.
