A black furry creature wanders among the mounds.

The black furry creature turns her head back and forth among the trees and spongy moss, hunting for something.  Every now and then, she stops.  She will sit back on her haunches, licking her feet, and then start moving again.  Her eyes are huge for her head, and almost the same bright lime-green color of the moss underfoot.  They operate independently, and each eye is looking at a different thing as she moves.  The claws on her feet remain retracted while she walks, and she only flexes them while licking her feet.
