An experienced crystal mage tinkers casually with an experiment.

The crystal mage has salt and pepper-colored fiberglass for hair that is gradually receding from his forehead.  He is adorned in an opaque white sheet of glass, shaped like a lab coat, which is so long it makes an irritating scraping noise along the ground as he walks.  Fond of asking everyone, from the cook to the gardener, for their opinions on complex magical matters, he has earned a great admiration from his neighbors for his down-to-earth attitude.
