The crystal guard seems a bit jittery.  Blown panes of grayish glass have been melted together to make his rather shoddy banded mail armor.  His chiseled face is lined with tiny fractures from far too many battle hours logged on the practice fields.  Certain that danger lurks in every shadow and even the crystal crickets are amassing against him, his grip is ever tensed on the shaft of his pole arm.
