A fairly wide, long strip of minotaur hide leather is the preferred waist wear of gnolls.  Coarse hairs kept but beaten into pliability, it's wrapped first one thigh, up around the buttocks to the waist and then down the second thigh making sure sufficient loops go down and around to protect the central parts.  A simple clasp locks the end of the strip just below the navel.
