The armor has been made of mithril.  While it offers great protection against physical and some even against magical, it was not very well designed. Due to the flaws it limits ones reaction speed.  Also the armor does not look pretty; the maker did not bother making it more elegant.  Overall, huge quantities of mithril were wasted on an armor, that with greater skill could have been far better.
