This collar is made of thick, low-grade leather.  There is a large loop built into the material, obviously for a leash or hook of some kind.  The chew marks and numerous scratches on the collar seem to make it obvious that this item was originally intended for a pet of some kind, most likely a dog by the teeth marks.  There is a small pouch near the clasp that snaps closed.  The container is quite small and could not carry anything larger than a single coin.
