These gloves are filled with small holes and caked in thick layers of crud. There is no lining inside the gloves and the material is an extremely rough type of leather.  The thumb seems to be missing from the left glove; nonetheless, they still seem to be intact enough to provide substantial protection and a sturdy grip.
