A collection of rib bones, shoulder discs, knee caps, pelvic bones and many other broken and shattered bone fragments, have been knitted together to form a suit of protective armor.  Sharpened ribs have been knitted, with some sort of dried pink substance, to the sides of the shell like armor for increased damage in close combat.  The bleached bones are just the right size for a human sized warrior.
