A jet black shield shaped like a lozenge with six sides, the center of it carries a crimson lacquered symbol of the Demon God Malebolge.  Piercing black eyes set into a harsh, high-cheeked face and a single black eyebrow stare back at you above a fiery inferno of flames.  Whomever put the lacquer on the shield was an expert at it because it almost looks alive.
