A woman, with her baby held in her arms, rests against the cold wall.

The woman carries a small child, swathed in fur and cloth to keep it warm, as she rocks it to sleep.  Her motherly look, while distorted by thick clothes surrounding her face, is a look of pure love for the tiny life she holds in her arms.  Even the woman, in her maternal state, wears a long spear in a baldric around her body where it can be easily grasped in an emergency.  The baby whimpers occasionally, but having been taught the dangers of these lands fresh out of the womb, the child knows better than to cry out needlessly.
